Fleecy

Fleecy
Rogers & Goffigon is excited to introduce three exceptionally soft textural wool fabrics, Cozy, Fuzzy and Fleecy, into their textile collection. Each of the three fabrics are a perfect, natural, light-hued ivory color, and are the first in a new series of thick, textural wool fabrics in their natural, undyed state. Woven and finished exclusively for Rogers & Goffigon, there are several more of these amazingly beautiful fabrics in works which will be introduced at a later date. These fabrics have a variety of finishing techniques to achieve their final look, including some with a light felting finish. All of them are woven with an intricate structure on the reverse side that keeps the fabric very dense and tight to prevent any accidental poke-through. The resulting fabric is quite thick and perfect for some sound absorption when upholstered on sofas or chairs. It is particularly suited to curvilinear shaped mid-century designs. The hand is remarkably soft for a wool fabric and makes for very cozy seating in any interior.

Putucusi

Putucusi
The latest introduction into the Rogers & Goffigon textile collection, Putucusi, is a fabulous thick, textural, upholstery fabric with a handwoven look, available in seven earth-toned colorways. The inspiration for the name comes from the “ladders” on the Putucusi Mountain hike, a super challenging hike near Machu Pichu. In order to reach the summit of Putucusi, there are seven sets of steep vertical wooden stairs, or ladders, to climb. These stairs resemble the woven design of our fabric, Putucusi, a lovely two-toned fabric with colorways evocative of the lush surrounding landscape. Putucusi is a combination of densely woven, linen and wool with a very stable structure, therefore it’s a great selection for active households in any style of interior.

Trellis II

Trellis II
Rogers & Goffigon is excited to bring back an old favorite into their textile collection. Trellis II was originally introduced in the early years of the company and due to popular demand, the same beautiful double windowpane sheer has been re-released. Trellis II is available in one colorway, a cheerful bright white. Letting daylight shine through, yet providing some privacy is one of the highlights of this open weave fabric. What makes this design even more special is the double windowpane grid created by a weaving technique that resembles drawn thread embroidery, woven in a grid of parallel bands of semi sheer horizontal and vertical quarter inch lines. Where the double vertical and horizontal lines intersect, a square is formed with four open corners, completing this attractive, graphically gridded design.

Bloopy

Bloopy
Rogers & Goffigon is excited to introduce another wool sheer fabric with a very original weave and texture, Bloopy, into their textile collection. Bloopy is available in two colorways: 9300011-01 Alfredo (creamy white), and -02 Salt & Pepper (two-toned, grey and off white). This semi-sheer, super textured fabric is woven using a very heavy weight multi-plied bouclé lambswool yarn and a thin wool yarn. The thin yarn used in the warp, is threaded in pairs and woven in such a way that the pairs criss-cross, locking the fill yarns in place. As in our fabric, Egg Cups, the fill yarns in Bloopy are alternating bouclé and thin yarns. Known as a leno weave, this clever construction prevents the yarns from slipping, giving firmness and strength the cloth. A unique design and concept in the industry, Bloopy is best suited for draperies, lined or unlined. It can add some warmth to a room in a cooler climate without being dense or bulky, offer privacy, and at the same time, let light in.

Braque
Braque, a super, original, wool and linen, drapery sheer fabric with a unique and subtle woven geometric pattern, is new to the Rogers & Goffigon textile collection. It is available in a mixture of four soft colorways in natural, grey, blue and green tones. At first glance, Braque looks like a vertical striped fabric, especially when held up to a window, where just enough light shines through to define a stripe against a semi-sheer ground. But on closer inspection, a brilliant design of intricately woven tall rectangle blocks is revealed. This masterpiece of weaving is a technique with four different double-cloth weaves in the blocks that allow the warp and weft colors to interchange differently in each of the blocks thereby giving more shades of color, thus creating a kind of checkered geometric pattern. This museum quality fabric is best used as drapery sheers and would make a spectacular Roman shade.
